The Zalman TNN500AF Totally Noiseless Package w/ Case (TNN 500AF) has been DISCONTINUED....Please see our other Computer Cases for an updated selection.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please calm yourself as we introduce you to the worlds first absolutely noiseless case for high end systems. The Zalman TNN 500AF Totally Noiseless Package has been developed with Heatpipe Technology, HSC (Heat Source Contact) Power Technology, a High Capacity Extrusion Technique, and FMS (Flexible Mounting Structure) Design Technology by ZALMAN Tech Co., Ltd. The TNN 500AF package includes a high performance aluminum computer case with an absolutely noiseless cooling solution that does not require the use of a fan, making it suitable for digital audio workstations, multimedia and storage servers, home theater and multimedia systems, and high-performance noiseless workstations and servers.
The TNN 500AF consists of two large aluminum heatsink plates. These heatsink plates transfer all heat from the GPU, CPU, etc., to the exterior through natural convection. Since natural convection requires no moving components, a system equipped with TNN 500AF is absolutely silent and has an unlimited life cycle. It is also 100% recyclable, making it environmentally friendly.
The CPU cooler in the TNN 500AF transfers heat from the CPU to the heatsink case using six 6mm heatpipes. Since this CPU cooling solution does not require any power source or fan, the cooler is absolutely free from noise and has an unlimited life cycle. The six heatpipes transfer about 150W from the CPU, which is ample cooling even for the hottest CPUs on the market. The CPU block is made of pure copper to ensure the highest cooling performance. As you would expect from such a high quality device, the TNN 500AF is compatible with Intel Socket 478 and LGA775 and AMD Socket 754 and 939/940.
The VGA cooler in the TNN 500AF transfers heat from the GPU (VPU) to the heatsink case using three 6mm heatpipes. Since this VGA cooling solution does not require any power source or fan, the cooler is absolutely free from noise and has an unlimited life cycle. These three heatpipes drain enough heat from the GPU (VPU) (at the rate of 75W) to cool the hottest video cards on the market. The VGA cooler is compatible with both NVidia and ATI chipsets.
The TNN 500AF also includes a fanless Northbridge cooler. This cooler implements a single 5mm heatpipe to whisk heat away from the Northbridge. This solution can provide 20W of cooling.
The PSU in the TNN 500AF employs Multi PCB Transformer technology, high-efficiency FETs, and Heat Source Contact technology to pump out enough power (400W) without any help from an active cooling device. The heat from the PSU components is transferred to the heatsink case through an aluminum panel, which is in direct contact with the heatsink case. This PSU features a lifespan of 50,000 hours and an impressive 80% AC/DC conversion efficiency, which is about 10% higher than most power supplies. The power supply also includes features which support modern technologies, such as SATA connectors, PCI-Express connectors, dual +12V rails, and support for either the 20-pin or the 24-pin ATA standard motherboard connectors.
The sturdy aluminum case (5mm to 7mm thick), the EMI Interception Block, and the power supply chassis' EMI shielding effectively prevent EMI.
An eleven-heatpipe HDD cooler reduces vibration and noise transferred to the computer case and cools HDDs.
TNN 500AF comes with 4 casters which can support up to 4 metric tons, and are equipped with sliding protection and height adjustment features. The convenient flexible mounting structure of the TNN 500AF allows up to 2 Optical Drives and 6 HDDs to be installed.
Other features include an integrated remote control function that allows the user to turn the PC on and off, in addition to many other remote functions when coupled with a Media Center edition of Windows. The TNN 500AF also includes a lock to secure your valuable components, foldable handles to help transport the silent wonder, and a plethora of front panel connectors (Audio, USB, 1394, 1394B).
It should be noted that the TNN 500AW was designed to run in pure fanless mode with processors with a TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 100W or less. If your CPU is putting out more than 100W (Intel Pentium 4 Prescott core 3.2GHz or higher), Zalman recommends that the user installs a single 120mm intake fan for adequate cooling.
